This project examines the observable signs of structural network reorganization before Nepal’s September Gen-Z protest on specific Reddit channels. I address this through exploratory network analysis using subreddit co-participation networks for 5K unique authors on (r/Nepal, r/NepalSocial, and r/Nepal360) between three time-anchored windows: (baseline before the government ultimatum on social media ban, ultimatum period where platforms remained inaccessible, and ban-peak just before the actual protest period). The preliminary findings suggest that the Reddit cohort’s public activity reorganized before the visible volume surge. Brokerage patterns also shifted: entertainment and meme-oriented communities became less central, while India-facing political subreddits and an engineering-related Nepali subreddit became more visible in the ban-peak window.
